Ali Ghadimi the founder of BEE NUTTY
I was born into the sweet scent of baking. Raised in my father’s renowned confectionery and bakery business in Iran, I grew up surrounded by flour, fire, and family tradition. My father operated multiple successful bakeries and was a respected figure in the industry. From a young age, I was part of the business—learning by doing, and falling in love with the craft.
I studied business in Maryland and later completed bakery administration at the Dunwoody Institute. I even designed several pastry machines that helped modernize Iranian bakeries. But my journey was just getting started.
When I moved to Canada, I began at mmmuffins in Yorkdale Mall, working early shifts as a baker. With time, dedication, and the incredible support of franchisor Michel Bergman, I climbed the ladder from baker to manager—and eventually became a franchise owner. I took over the Yorkdale location and grew weekly sales from $4,000 to $19,000 in just two years.
That success led me to my first Michel’s Baguette, also at Yorkdale, where I continued building momentum and acquired two more locations. Year after year, I was proud to be recognized as Franchisee of the Year.
But my passion for food didn’t stop at baking. I also founded and operated Bellfornia, a vibrant and beloved Italian restaurant that I ran for five years. It became a local favorite, known for bold flavors and warm hospitality.
Now, with Bee Nutty, I’m coming full circle—combining a lifetime of culinary experience with clean, bold, nutritious seed crackers. These are more than snacks. They’re a story. A craft. A little nutty, just like me.
